This year’s fireworks displays will begin Thursday evening in Port Canaveral, followed by fireworks along Cocoa Beach on Friday, and finally with several displays throughout Brevard County in Cocoa Village, Melbourne, and Viera. Port Canaveral welcomes viewers to bring lawn chairs and blankets, but ask that the coolers stay at home. Some areas will be hosting parades and other events, including picnics, barbecue, and live music. For more details, click here. Fireworks begin at 8 p.m. on July 2nd in Port Canaveral.
Weather this weekend is shaping up to be hot and breezy, but mostly dry. If you plan on setting off fireworks, please be sure to check local laws and restrictions on private fireworks use; most areas require permits for any pyrotechnics that fly or explode, and for bonfires on the beach. Also, please remember to keep your fuzzy friends safe and stress-free this weekend by keeping them inside.
