Saturday morning, SpaceX is launching its Falcon 9 rocket on a resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Liftoff is set for just after 10:00 a.m. on February 18 and will be the first launch to take place on historic launchpad 39A, which saw numerous Saturn, Apollo, and the final Space Shuttle missions. In the minutes following the launch, SpaceX will attempt to land the Falcon 9 booster at their Cape Canaveral landing zone. The Dragon spacecraft is SpaceX’s cargo vessel that will eventually deliver manned crews to orbit. The weather forecast indicates partly cloudy skies with a strong breeze for the morning.
