Salty Sweet Women’s Pro/Am Surf Contest 2018

The 5th annual Salty Sweet Pro/Am returns to Cocoa Beach! The Salty Sweet competition is one of the largest women’s surf events in the country with pro and amateur divisions. Many of the competitors began surfing at young ages here on Florida’s Space Coast. Early on, the event earned Eastern Surf Magazine’s “Best New Contest” award. This year, the competition is sponsored by Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism through it’s Sports Marketing Program.

The Cocoa Beach Pier hosts the competition each year. Admission is free, with $20 parking available at the Pier. This year, the contest starts at 9am on Saturday, October 13 and concludes with finals and awards ceremony on Sunday, October 14. The weekend weather forecast is breezy with partly cloudy skies.
