Port Canaveral’s Joins “Green Marine” Initiative

After the environmental controversy involving a planned rail line to Port Canaveral that led to the resignation of former Port CEO, John Walsh, Port Canaveral recently joined a growing list of industry leaders as a part of the Green Marine program. The not-for-profit is devoted to assessing and improving environmental protection in the maritime transportation industry.  As the Port continues to expand and grow, Green Marine and the Port Commission have both stated their commitment to sustainable growth and improving the existing efforts to minimize ecological impact.
