Over the next two weeks, the Kennedy Space Center is hosting the second flight series testing NASA’s SonicBAT, an experimental technology designed to reduce the sound from sonic booms. While many residents of the Space Coast may not hear the booms, residents along the coast from Scottsmoor to Cape Canaveral will likely hear the rumbling and booms or thumps produced during testing. The experiment will continue until September 1st.
