Falcon 9 Launching Monday, Following Mother’s Day

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket will take flight next Monday as it carries an Inmarsat satellite to its destination orbit. The launch is currently scheduled for 7:20pm, May 15th from historic Launchpad 39A. Due to the size of the payload, SpaceX will not be attempting to land the rocket’s first stage. Enthusiasts shouldn’t be disappointed though: this summer is set to be SpaceX’s busiest schedule yet, with the next Space Coast launch slated for June 1. The weather forecast for the May 15 launch indicates clear skies and a breezy evening.
