This Wednesday, February 24, SpaceX will be launching their Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral’s Launch Complex 40. The launch is scheduled for 6:46 p.m. with an hour a half launch window, but with a 50% chance of evening rain, spotty weather conditions may cause delays. This mission will carry a new communications satellite to orbit to expand mobile coverage across the Indian Ocean. The satellite, which is part of the SES satellite array covering areas of Indonesia, Asia, and the Philippines.
SpaceX will be completing final pre-launch tests today to collect data about the recent upgrades to the Falcon 9 family of rockets. SpaceX will also be attempting another ocean landing as part of their reusable rocket initiative.
